Summer Reading Kickoff

“Build a Better World!” during the Yuma County Library District’s 2017 Summer Reading Program! Readers of all ages can participate in programs designed to foster and support a love of reading.

KIDS-Complete your reading log and you’ll receive a free SUPER COOL MYSTERY PRIZE BAG and be entered in the GRAND PRIZE drawing. Complete additional reading logs and a survey for multiple chances to win the GRAND PRIZE, one of eight $25 Toys R Us gift card!

TEENS-Read 20 books, attend 20 programs, or complete any combination of the two to be entered into a drawing for prizes. Complete additional reading logs for multiple chances to win!

ADULTS-Read 5 books, attend 5 programs, or complete any combination of the two to be entered into a drawing for one of five gift cards.

Super Sign-up Day is Saturday, June 3rd. Stop by any library to pick up your reading log and participate in a kick-off activity!

Summer Reading programs and activities will be held through Saturday, July 15th. Special events include Reptile Adventures, the Balloon Cowboy, Magician Eric Giliam, and more!

Food for Fines: Summer Edition!

Bring in cans of food to pay for your overdue fines during Food for Fines: Summer Edition at Yuma County Libraries! From 9:00 a.m. Monday, June 5th until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, July 15th, one dollar in overdue fines will be cleared for every 10 oz. (or larger) can of food that is donated. Only labeled cans will be accepted. No glass jars, or dented or expired cans please. All cans of food will be donated to a local food pantry or assistance agency.
