Law enforcement reminds civilians to not seek retaliation for crimes
News 11 covered a story on an animal abuse case on Monday, May 22.
41-year-old Bryan Ray Weimer was arrested on Saturday, and was booked into the Yuma County Detention Center on one count of Cruelty to Animals.
The footage aired Monday included footage of a home in the area. That residence is not where Weimer lives. News 11 received reports of civilians trying to take matters in their own hands by confronting the resident of the home, which belongs to an innocent civilian.
Law enforcement is sending a message to the community, stating that civilians should never try to take matters in their own hands.
