Sheriff’s office arrests four suspects in burglary

Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) deputies arrested four men suspected of being connected to a burglary that happened earlier this month.

Deputies say they arrested Angel Rene Jimenez, 31, and Ruben Navarro, 30, on Wednesday while they served a search warrant in the 4800 block of West 21st Street.

Juan Carlos Arcos-Llamas, 40, and David Muñoz, 26, were arrested earlier in the month of May in connection to the burglary.

Deputies say they were searching the home when a car of a known associate of the suspects drove by.

Officers tried pulling the driver over, but instead, the suspect hit the gas leading deputies on a pursuit that ended in the area of West 12th Street and South Avenue C. However, Jimenez and Navarro jumped out of the car and fled on foot before deputies could arrest them.

Deputies say they were able to find and arrest them with the help of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air Operations.

During the search, deputies found several stolen items including weapons.

The YCSO began investigating the burglary after the victims reported the incident back on May 3. Deputies were able to collect surveillance video from a shop where the suspects are seen stealing multiple items including a 19-foot Tahiti jet boat and trailer.

All four suspects are facing a laundry list of charges, including, burglary and trespassing.
