Community Remembers Fallen Protectors

13 On Your Side wants to know your thoughts:

According to the Officer Down Memorial Page a total of 48 peace officers have died this year in the U.S. alone. Here locally we remember our fallen protectors with a special ceremony. Each year, the Yuma Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #24 hosts the event which pays tribute to those lost while serving our community.

Men and women who have taken the oath to serve and protect remember their fallen brothers and sisters each year at the Quartermaster’s Depot. Along with local, state and federal officers, family members of our lost heroes are also in attendance. The event is also open to the community in order for them to pay their respects to those who paid the ultimate price in the pursuit of peace.
