Pet Talk: Meet “Chopper” and “Miss Kitty”

Tonight on Pet Talk, we meet a brown and white canine named Chopper and a gray and white cat, named Miss Kitty.

Chopper is an American pitbull terrier mix that is full of energy. You may not be able to tell by the video, but Chopper is a big guy. A lot of the time, he doesn’t realize his own strength. He loves to play fetch. Due to his energy and size, he would do best in a home with older children. He enjoys playing with other dogs, but can be a bit timid with other male canines. He has been at the shelter for 56 days and deserves a family of his own. He needs a family that has an active lifestyle.

Next up is Miss Kitty. She is an adult gray and white cat that has been at the shelter for a month. She weighs about 9 pounds and can be a bit shy, but warms up to you if you have food. She doesn’t mind being held, but prefers to do her own thing, like most cats. She was a stray and is now spayed and ready to be adopted.

If you are interested in either Chopper or Miss Kitty, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621 They are open Tuesday through Saturday and because the Petsmart adopting center is closed due to remodeling, the shelter is now open on Sundays too.
