PET TALK: Meet “Stella” and “Mario”

In this edition of Pet Talk, we meet a 9 year old shepherd mix named Stella and a gray and white tabby Cat named Mario.

First up we have Stella. Stella is a brown and white 9 year old shepherd mix. She was turned in by her owners for not getting along with their other pet, however, it seems that she does just fine with other animals. She enjoys playing with the other dogs at the shelter. Don’t let her 9 years of age fool you, she is full of energy. A great companion to take hiking or on long walks. She’s super loving and potty-trained and would do best in a home with older children.

Next, we have Mario. Mario was found wandering the streets of Yuma. He is your stereotypical cat. He’s not super affectionate and likes to do his own thing. He has been at the shelter for 37 days and really needs a home that can appreciate a cat’s behavior. He doesn’t mind being held and enjoys a nice rub. Weighing in at about 10 pounds, Mario would make a great companion for a single individual or older couple.

If you are interested in either Stella or Mario, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through Saturday. For more details you can head to Madison Kimbro’s facebook page at @MADISONKECY.
