Yuma trailer and shed destroyed in fire

The Yuma Fire Department said a travel trailer and a shed were destroyed following a late night fire. YFD said Thursday at 10:45 pm, a fire was initially reported in the area of 24 th St. and Arizona Ave..

Additional information continued to come in to responders and the fire was located in the 900 block of east Harvard Street. Firefighters found a travel trailer and shed fully on fire in the backyard of 905 East Harvard Street. The fire was quickly extinguished before it could spread to a mobile home on the property or other homes nearby.

YFD said damage was contained to the travel trailer, shed and contents, which were considered a total loss. The other nearby structures were able to be protected and were not damaged. No one was at the property at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. Investigators were called to the scene and are working to determine what caused this fire.
