On Tuesday, the world reacted to images from a small village in Syria where the country’s dictator Bashar Al-Assad launched an attack using chemical weapons. The latest reports list at least 80 fatalities, among them several children.
President Donald J. Trump voiced his disappointment with the prior administration for not acting against Syria. On Thursday, President Trump gave his approval for a military strike against the Assad regime.
U.S. intelligence had evidence showing where the jets that launched the chemical attacks came from. Fifty-nine tomahawk missiles were launched at Syria’s Shayrat Airfield; the attack was justified since Syria violated international law by using chemical weapons.
