Three new exhibits at the art center

Three new exhibits are set to open at the Yuma Art Center this Saturday. Hector d. Llamas, Robert Schaal and Tyler Voorhees are the artists that will be featured. Two of which are locals of Yuma and incorporate their love for the Desert Southwest in their artwork. Arts and culture program manager, Lindsay Benacka explains what type of gallery the art center is as well as what to expect at the exhibit on Saturday. “We’re an invitational only gallery, so we will invite local artists to regional artists to international artists to come out and present different bodies of work. On Saturday we’ll have all the artists present, so it will be a great time to come out and meet the artist, meet the new works and see what is going on in the local arts community and support the local artists,” said Benaka. There is no entry fee for the exhibit and the reception will take place from 6 to 8 p.m with hors d’oeuvres as well as drinks available.
