Woman arrested after CBP officers find meth in her car

A woman was arrested after U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found methamphetamine hidden in her car.

The 38-year-old Mexican woman allegedly tried to smuggle less than 30 pounds of meth across the San Luis port of entry when her car was alerted by a K-9 officer.

Officers say the meth could have sold on the streets for about $78,000.

The woman was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
