Secretary of Tourism hosts their annual Whale watching expedition

The secretary of tourism led a tour into Baja California for their annual gray whale watching expedition. The secretary of tourism hosts this trip every year and it gives people a chance to whale watch and also learn the history behind why they migrate. Those that were part of the tour also got to experience the on water aquarium site called ” Oceanico ,” where people got see endangered tuna fish as well as watch the Divers feed all the different sea creatures. Dive master, Mario Ragetta Russo says the experience is unlike any other aquatic exhibit venture out there. “This experience offers not only snorkeling, diving, but we have unique species here that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Here you’ll find species like the Atlantic Blue fin tuna, fishes that are endangered but in our aquarium they’re the star of the show. The point is for people to come out here and enjoy themselves.” An interesting fact about these gray whales is that they will migrate from the north during November to escape the cold and reproduce. The mating process of these whales are complex and the process usually involves 3 or more whales at a time. Due to the severity of the animals size, the extra whales physically help support the pair in the mating ritual.
