Prosecution: “Strong murdered family of 6 for revenge and to leave no witnesses”

As opening statements began Tuesday in the “La Mesa Street Murders” trial, the prosecution argued Preston Strong killed the Yuma family of six.

However, the defense said there wasn’t enough evidence to prove 50-year-old Strong was inside the home on June 24,2005, the day of the murders.

They said witness accounts depict a Hispanic male at the home, not Strong.
