Community gathers for LGBT forum
The LGBT Coalition of the Desert and P Flag of El Centro partnered to present an educational forum for the community.
Keynote speakers traveled from Palm Springs, Mexicali and San Diego as local agencies attended the event with informational booths for the attendee’s.
We spoke to the CEO and founder of the LGBT Coalition on what this event means for the community and how they are helping.
“We want to educate the community as far as health care is concerned, the lack of health care for transgender people and also for LGB. Do not be afraid to come out and say I need assistance, I need help, I need to talk to someone. If they are not able to speak to their local agency they can always call us,” said Eva Murguia, CEO and founder, LGBT Coalition of the Desert.
