Glendale police: FedEx delivery truck stolen

Surveillance video shows what appears to be a FedEx driver in Glendale hanging on the side of his van as he gets carjacked.

Glendale police say the suspects took off with the large white van on Tuesday after carjacking the FedEx driver while armed.

The theft occurred near North 86th Drive and West Oregon Avenue.

FedEx spokeswoman Nikki Mendicino said in a statement that the company is grateful nobody was seriously injured and is fully cooperating with police.

When asked whether the truck had a GPS tracking system, she said the company does not discuss technology service providers in trucks for security purposes.

Police say its license plate number is 9D13691.
