Car versus pedestrian collision

Yuma Police are investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian collision that happened Saturday at Fifth Avenue and 12th Street.

Initial reports reveal that an 80-year-old woman was struck by a 2004 Saturn that was traveling south bound.

The 80-year-old was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center and is in serious condition. The driver of the other vehicle had no reported injuries.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
