Since the introduction of the electronic cigarette supporters have claimed that e-cigs are safer than regular cigarettes. Something that studies have proven time and time again; but, the Surgeon General is pointing out that although e-cigs are safer they’re still not safe.

According to the Surgeon General between 2011 and 2015 the usage of e-cigs grew by 900%; many of those new users were found to be middle school and high school aged kids.

Health officials feel that the young smokers are enticed by the wide range of flavors that come with e-cigs 7,000 flavors so far. When exhaled the vapor creates a large cloud, something e-cig users have expressed to be a plus.

Health officials are warning parents that although it’s too soon to see what damage prolonged exposure will cause; there will be damage and encourage parents to monitor their children.
