Police looking for armed robbery suspect

The Yuma Police Department is looking for an armed robbery suspect who stole a wallet from a jogger. YPD said officers responded to the incident Thursday at 6:09 a.m.

Police said the victim was jogging in the area of 14th Street and 13th Avenue when the suspect displayed a handgun and took the victim’s wallet.

Police said the suspect took off on foot westbound. He had not been located.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 30’s, 5’10” tall, 180 pounds with a clean shaven face. The suspect was last seen wearing dark clothing and a black ball cap with a gold emblem.

There were no reported injuries in this case.
