Officers take Protect and Serve to new levels
When you think of a police officer’s duty, you think of a person in uniform taking down the bad guy. But, on this Thanksgiving officers from the San Luis Police Department took on a different role helping those in need in a different way. Thanks to donations from officers with the San Luis Police Association and the Fraternal Order of Police Officers #77 several families in San Luis had a Thanksgiving dinner. We spoke to Chief of Police Craig Higgins who confessed that the officers also get something out of helping those in need; they enjoy bringing smiles to those around them.
