Kofa takes down Yuma

Less than a week after star power forward Abbey Jensen signs her letter of intent to play basketball for the Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks; she and the Kofa Lady Kings basketball team begin their regular season.

They would do so under the helm of brand new head coach Frank Brown.

Meanwhile, coach Nate Jurgens and the Yuma Lady Criminals seek to keep their program’s improvement process going; as they attempted to open up their season with an upset of the Lady Kings.

From the start, Kofa’s front court proved to be too much for the Lady Criminals to handle. Jensen would lead all scorers with 34 points on the night, while center Carletta Jones put down 17 points. The two would combine to score close to 80% of the Crimson and White’s points on the night.

Kofa would run away with the 64 to 46 win to open the season.
