Car chargers could lead to battery problems

It’s a big number.. but according to the American Liver Foundation, being properly screened, avoiding risky behaviors and understanding risks associated with liver cancer is key to prevention and survival.

For 40 years the American Liver Foundation was founded to combat liver disease.. one of the leading causes of death in the U.S>

“The number of patients who can die from liver cancer is already bypassing the number of patients who could die from breast cancer.. It’s definitely alarming.”

Doctors say the cause — goes back to 4 major risk factors.

“The first one is the infection to the liver caused by a virus called hepatitis c, the second one is another infection caused by a virus hepatitis b, heavy alcohol use, and severe obesity and diabetes that can lead to fatty liver that can ultimately lead to liver cancer. ”

The ALF has launched the “are you at risk” campaign to raise awareness.

“It’s imperative that people understand those risk factors. if any of those risk factors are present, that they consult with their physician.”

In doing so — patients get timely detection and early treatments. The “are you at risk” awareness campaign is an ongoing project to make sure people are screened and healthy.
