Senator McCain campaigns in Yuma before Election Day

Senator John McCain made a campaign stop in the city of Yuma early Monday morning, and held a final rally one day before the election.

“I have a special affection for [the city of Yuma,]” McCain said. “I’m asking you to get out and vote tomorrow because I’d like to continue to serve [Arizona.]”

Yuma was the third city he campaigned at Monday afternoon. The rally was hosted at the Desert Hills Golf Course where he was joined by local Republicans and U.S. Representatives.

Mayor Doug Nicholls was a guest at the Senator’s rally, along with former Senators Jon Kyle and Jeff Flake. Senator Lindsey Graham also made an appearance, and supported the Senator’s campaign for re-election.

He was also endorsed by Governor Doug Ducey, where he encouraged local voters to trust the Republican Party this upcoming election.

“It’s great to be back in Yuma County,” Ducey said. “Tomorrow is election day, so I’m urging everyone to vote Republican across the board including our county commissioners and our corporation commission.”

McCain said he prioritizes what Yuma has to offer, and also said he hopes to succeed as the re-elected Senator, for an eighth term.

“We’ll be counting on you, and we’ll be coming back a lot” McCain said. “You can be so proud of the enormous contribution the Yuma County makes to the defense of this nation.”
