Firehouse Subs Safety Foundation Regional Manager receives Certificate of Appreciation

The San Luis City Council held its regular meeting Wednesday night, but honored a special guest at the top of their meeting agenda. Tony Rico, Firehouse Subs Safety Foundation Regional Manager, was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for all of the the support given to the City of San Luis Police Department.

Officials with the City of San Luis said Firehouse Subs donates Automatic External Defibrillator to SLPD.

The focus on this important tool is to aid in the department’s life-saving capabilities. The San Luis Police Department said it is always striving to become better equipped and prepared to attend the demands of a growing community of over 30,000 residents.

The department has two Police Officers that are certified as Emergency Medical Technicians.

According to its website, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is dedicated to “improving the life-saving capabilities and the lives of local heroes and their communities”.
