Trailer catches fire, owner out of town
A trailer catches fire in the 1900 block of 3rd avenue in Yuma. The Yuma Fire Department reports seeing heavy smoke and flames coming from the single wide when they arrived Wednesday morning, around 2:40 a.m. (PST).
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire. The trailer sustained heavy damage.
A family member of the trailer’s owner says he is in Phoenix and has been out of town since before the trailer caught fire.
Fire officials have contacted him in regards to the condition of his home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
