President Trump signs ‘Take it Down Act’

WASHINGTON (KYMA, KECY/NBC) - President Donald Trump is signing the bipartisan "Take it Down Act" Monday afternoon.

The "Take It Down Act" would criminalize publishing nonconsensual, sexually explicit images and videos including those generated by AI, as well as require platforms to remove the content within 48 hours of notice.

Last month, the House of Representative unanimously passed the bill, 409 to 2. Earlier this year, the Senate also unanimously passed the bill.

According to NBC News, he is signing the bill from the Rose Garden alongside First Lady Melania Trump and a bipartisan group of lawmakers.
