Yuma native asks for help after losing her home and suffering serious injuries

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - A Yuma native is asking for help after losing her home, and is suffering serious injuries in Florida.

Victoria Harris, who is now a Jacksonville, Florida resident and chef, was seriously injured in April after falling through a collapsed floor in her rental home.

Harris suffered a torn ACL, torn hip labrum and torn Achilles.

She is now living in a temporary AirBNB with her high school-aged son while dealing with ongoing housing, legal and medical expenses.

"I'm just trying to make sure that I continue to be there for my kids and have their sense of peace for them when they come home," Harris expressed.

Harris has created a GoFundMe to help cover her expenses as she works toward finding a more stable home.
