YCFB partners with In-N-Out for volunteer event

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Yuma Community Food Bank (YCFB) hosted a volunteer event for Hungry Action Month.

In-N-Out burger partnered with the food bank volunteers to highlight how local businesses and employees can do their part to help fight hunger.

While Hunger Action Day falls on September 29, the food bank said Friday was an example of how local businesses and other large groups can help the city of Yuma.

"Because we serve the community here in Yuma and La Paz [Counties], it's so impactful to have local business come in and support us here and support the town of Yuma," Lori Baker, YCFB's volunteer coordinator.

According to the latest data from Feeding America's map, 22.6% of people face food insecurity in the Yuma County.
