Local organization is helping people get their GED

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Crossroads Mission is helping people from all walks of life get their GED by assisting them at the academic level they may be at.

Crossroads pays for the workbooks they may need and the test itself.

It is all thanks to retired teacher, Peggy Eskew who said she is passionate about teaching others and loves to work with everyone at Crossroads.

The GED is composed of five sections; Science, Social Studies, Math, Language, and Civics.

From 2021-2023 there have been five people who have successfully gotten their GED and as of right now, there are 22 people working towards it.

She also helps out by creating fun and interactive workshops where people at Crossroads are able to express themselves artistically. And said that is also one of her favorite parts of her job.
