‘Back to School Rodeo’ happening on Saturday

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - If you're looking for free school supplies, look no further than the City of Yuma's "Back to School Rodeo."

The event is happening on Saturday, July 15 at the Yuma Civic Center.

The city, along with local businesses, are working together to give away backpacks for students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.

"It's first come first serve so when we run out of them. We got 2,000 of them prepared that we are going to give out. So we advise folks to be there on time," said City of Yuma Public Affairs Coordinator Dave Nash.

The "Back-to-School Rodeo" will be a drive-thru event and begins at 7 a.m., while supplies last.
