TikTok to block content from Russia

(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - Popular video-sharing app TikTok made an announcement that some content will be blocked from Russia.

After Russia President Vladimir Putin made a law to punish what he calls "fake news," TikTok began to restrict livestreaming and new content from the country.

Putin's new law would land a Russian in prison for 15 years if they spread "misinformation."
