Children from the age of six-months-old to five-years-old are now eligible to get more protection from Covid-19.

On thursday, the Food and Drug administration approved an updated vaccine from Pfizer-biontech that is deemed safe for kids.

These bivalent vaccines fight the original strain of the virus and the latest b-a, 4-5 omicron versions.

Pediatricians are concerned because the number of young children getting their covid vaccinations is low in the US.

According to the centers for disease control and prevention, less than five percent of boys and girls under five-years-old have had their first round of shots.
