CDC reports 70% of U.S. adults are fully vaccinated
(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - As of Saturday, seven out of 10 American adults are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, according to the CDC.
More than 80% of Americans ages 18 and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine and that number is 98% for people over 65 and about 12% of them have received their third booster dose.
Since children age five to 11 were just authorized to get the Pfizer vaccine, the CDC is doing some re-calculating on the total population.
Looking at the statistics the CDC does currently have for Americans age 12 and up, about 68% have been fully vaccinated.
