Uterine Transplants give new hope to families

(KYMA, KECY/ CBS) - Uterine transplants are giving hope to families who are unable to have children.

A successful transplant included the uterus of a deceased donor and implanted into the patient, Amanda.

Once the transplant was healed, Amanda was able to become pregnant through IVF.
