Single-model health plan for the Valley

A simpler healthcare system for providers and patients to look forward to

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Imperial County Local Health Authority proposed a medical system change that could improve healthcare in the Valley. The new system is a singular model that would be more beneficial to Medi-Cal beneficiaries and medical providers alike.

"Improved access and health outcomes for Medi-Cal beneficiaries. The lowest overall administrative cost of any other model of Medi-Cal managed care and the most reinvestment of cost-savings back into the local communities to strengthen the healthcare system and the lives of the Medi-Cal beneficiaries," says Pacific Health Consulting Group Partner Bobbie Wunsch.

The new model has been approved by the Imperial County Board of Supervisors and may be implemented by the end of the year.
