Cottage Cheese recalled for possibly containing plastic and metal

(KYMA, KSWT, KECY)-Select varieties of Breakstone's Cottage Cheese are voluntarily being recalled due to a potential risk of red plastic and metal that may have been introduced during production.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said the consumption of hard or sharp foreign material could cause injury to the teeth, mouth, throat, stomach or intestine tissues if swallowed.

FDA reports approximately 9,500 cases of cottage cheese is being recalled.

The FDA advises consumers who purchased the product to not eat it and return it to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or refund.
