Yuma walk event to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s

This Saturday at the West Wetlands Park, there will be a walk event to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s affecting people in the community.

Registration can be done either online or at the event, which begins at 8 a.m. and there will be a ceremony at 9 a.m. with the Walk to begin at 9:30 a.m.

The walk totals at about 3 miles around the West Wetlands Park, 282 N 12th Avenue Yuma , AZ 85364.

All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer’s further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Alzheimer’s Association is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.

All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

There is no registration fee for Walk.

However, every walker is being asked to make a personal donation and commit to raising funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

Every registered participant will receive a T-shirt after achieving the fundraising minimum of $100.

Donations can be made offline by submitting a check or money order by mail or hand-delivering to the local Alzheimer’s Association office.
