NBA announces deals with Polymarket and Kalshi

(NBC, KYMA) - The National Basketball Association (NBA) announced deals with Polymarket and Kalshi Monday to make them the preferred prediction markets for the league.

The deals will include limitations on what can be offered on both markets, transparency about suspicious betting patterns as well as a ban on league and team employees from making trades on NBA activity.

Similar precautions are in place with the league's other gambling partners.

In addition to Kalshi and Polymarket, the NBA has also expanded its existing deals with DraftKings and other gaming partners to include their prediction markets.

Unlike sports gambling, prediction markets are available, on some level, in all 50 states.
