General Mills to remove artificial colors from all of its cereals

(NBC, KYMA) - People's breakfasts may be getting a healthy upgrade as General Mills said it's removing artificial colors from all of its cereals.

Trix, Lucky Charms and other vibrant cereals will now use fruit and vegetable-based dyes, as well as colors from spices like turmeric and paprika.

The company said 90% of its domestic products are free of artificial dyes, and said it plans to ditch artificial colors entirely by the end of 2027.
