Krispy Kreme unveils limited-edition Artemis II doughnuts

(CBS, KYMA) - Krispy Kreme is celebrating NASA's planned launch of the Artemis II with a limited-edition doughnut.

The Artemis II Doughnut is an original glazed doughnut, dipped in blue vanilla-flavored icing, topped with Oreo crunch and white sprinkles, and has a cookies-and-creme flavored buttercream dollop.

The company calls the doughnut "familiar, nostalgic, and mission-ready."

This isn't the first time Krispy Kreme has celebrated NASA's space exploration. The company has celebrated since the 1969 Apollo 11 launch to the Perseverance Rover landing on Mars in 2021.

Krispy Kreme also had an Artemis I Moon Doughnut in 2022.

The Artemis II Doughnut is available only March 31 through April 2 at participating Krispy Kreme shops nationwide.
