Volvo recalls more than 400,000 vehicles for rearview camera issues
(CNN, KYMA) - More than 400,000 Volvos have been recalled due to an issue with the rearview camera.
The recall affects multiple models from 2021 to 2025 model years. Those include the XC60, XC90 and Cross Country models among others.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the rearview camera image may not appear when the car is in reverse.
Instead, the display will have a message saying the "camera is temporarily not available," which is a violation of a federal motor vehicle safety standard.
As of last month, no accidents or injuries had been reported as a result of the issue.
Vehicle owners will get a notice in the mail by February 16, and Volvo dealers will install a new software update free of charge.
