U.S. economy improved in the third quarter, new report says
(NBC, KYMA) - Consumer spending is up across the United States as a new report shows the gross domestic product (GDP) went up 4.3% in the third quarter of this year.
Spending remains stronger as it reflects the second quarter report of being up 3.8%.
This increase is despite a decrease in imports, rising cost of living and the recent government shutdown.
The report was released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. To read the report in full, click here.
