Nintendo announces price increases for its original Switch console

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Nintendo announced price increases for its original Switch console Friday, with the Japanese company citing "market changes" for the price hike.

In addition to the original Switch, customers will face more expensive price tags for the Switch Lite console and some Switch accessories.

Changes take effect Sunday.

Nintendo did not specify how much prices would exactly increase, but did clarify it would only impact products already on the market.
