Employer health care benefits leave employees paying high out of pocket premiums

DENVER, (CBS, KYMA/KECY-TV) - Company Health care plan premiums leave employees pouring hundreds out of pocket for overpriced benefits.

The cost of health insurance puts people in lack of financial affordability.  Year after year prices and premiums are significantly raised and employers step back from covering, a reasonable portion of employee benefits.

With sky high out-of-pocket maximum and the cost associated with hospitalization, surgeries and medical procedures, this leaves minimum eligibility for appropriate coverage.

The majority of families and those paying individual premiums end up burning a whole in their pocket, spending years paying off thousands in medical care cost, while insurance companies sit back and rake in billions of dollars.

Reasonable deductibles, co-pay, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket costs, need to see a limit that favors the consumer not bankrupt them.
