Honda recalling vehicles due to potential problem with brake system

(NBC) - Honda is recalling more than 124,000 vehicles due to a potential problem with their brake system.

The automaker reported the recall to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The vehicles have a loose fastener that connects the brake booster and the brake master cylinder which potentially could cause the brakes to lose function.

The models include some 2020-21 Civic models, 2020-23 Ridgelines, 2021-23 Passport, 2021-2022 Pilot, and 2020 Acura MDX vehicles.

Affected owners will receive a letter about the recall and will be able to have their vehicles inspected and repaired free of charge at Honda dealerships.
