Netflix tests ways to end password sharing

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV/ CNN) - Netflix is testing out a new way to get people to pay to use their service.

On Wednesday, Netflix announced two new feature, which could stop users from sharing their passwords.

One of the features will have subscribers add "sub accounts" to their current account for people they don't live with.

The new sub accounts would be added to standard and premium plans, which comes with separate logins and profiles, which cost an additional $2 to $3 every month.

Another feature Netflix is testing is where users can transfer their profile to a new account or make it a sub account.

The company says they will be testing the new features in Chile, Costa Rica and Peru over the next few weeks.

Netflix didn't say if they plan to also test in the United Sates, there's no word on if it plans to also test the features in the U.S.
