Millions continue to quit their jobs in the Great Resignation

(KYMA, KECY/CBS) - Millions of Americans continue to quit their jobs in search of something better, which is an event some are calling the Great Resignation.

Over four million Americans quit their jobs in December, only slightly less than those who quit in November, with many leaving their jobs at restaurants and in manufacturing.

Jill Schlesinger, a Business Analyst for CBS News, said, "People are clearly confident that they can get other jobs."

Since employers are in search to fill those positions, many are confident they find and replace those who had already quit.

For some, the Great Resignation is an opportunity for change as a new start.
