U.S. retail sales go up despite rising Covid cases
(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - U.S. retail sales increased last month as consumers continued to buy clothing, furniture and groceries despite the rising cases of Covid.
Sales beat the expectations of economists who forecasted an eight-tenths of a percent drop for the month of August.
Instead, the Census Bureau report that sales actually rose seven-tenths of a percent from the month before.
