Settlement reached in class action lawsuit against Krispy Kreme following data breach

(NBC, KYMA) - The deadline for a lucrative Krispy Kreme settlement is approaching.

The lawsuit stems from a 2024 data breach that exposed employees' data. Now, those employees can cash in on a $1.6 million settlement.

In addition, the average payout is expected to be around $75, but those with documented losses could earn up to $3,500.

The settlement website says affected individuals have already been notified, and the deadline to submit a claim is June 22.
