Toys R Us to open new stores ahead of holiday season
(CNN, KYMA) - Toys R Us is attempting a comeback ahead of the holiday season as the nostalgic toy retailer announced it will open more than 30 new stores across the country.
Eight of those will be permanent flagship stores, including one in Camarillo, California, while more than 20 will be temporary seasonal shops, including one in Emeryville, California.
Toys R Us closed more than 700 stores after filing for bankruptcy in 2017 and by 2018.
It opened a flagship location at the Mall of America in 2023, and as of now, it remains open.
