Pepsi buys prebiotic soda brand “Poppi”

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Pepsi is buying a popular probiotic soda brand jumping into the trend of healthier sodas.

Under this new deal, Pepsi will pay $1.6 billion for Poppi.

Poppi has become increasingly popular since its appearance on Shark Tank back in 2018.

In January, Pepsi bought Siete Foods and half of the remaining of Sabra Hummus brand as the company increases its lineup of healthier food products.
