Corvette E-Ray does donuts on 30 Rock ice rink

NEW YORK, N.Y. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - The Corvette turns 70-years-old as of Tuesday.

Chevy's famous sports car made its public debut on this date in 1953 at GM's Motorama in New York City.

What better way to celebrate its birthday than by doing donuts on the famed ice rink at 30 Rock in New York, live on The Today Show.

You're also looking at a brand new 2024 Corvette E-Ray; the first-ever "electrified" and all-wheel-drive Corvette with electric motors powering the front wheels.

According to GM, this is the quickest 'vette they have produced, reaching 60 miles per hour in just 2.6-seconds.

The E-Ray will go on sale later this year, starting at just over $104,000, according to General Motors.
